Comments : One of my dogs passed away whilst I was in England so my husband swopped my sewing cabinet for a kelpie/border cross who achieved his Masters in Agility and Jumping his life was cut short by the fact he had epilepsy. I since have adopted a pure breed kelpie, Bill and a kelpie/shepherd cross, Persephone and Mr Chips my designer mongrael my ex husbands dog. I love them all but will always have a kelpie.

Comments : I rescued what I thought was a german shepherd mix from our local SPCA but then the vet said she is a Kelpie! (about 8 months old when I adopted her) I had never heard of the breed but after 3 months of having her with me, I can't imagine having any other dog! Abby is incredibly smart, funny, loving and downright adorable (well, most of the time!). Anyway, I found your site by accident but I will be back many more time to be sure! I am learning so much about this incredible breed and your site has been a joy to browse through. I am a hospice nurse, traveling to patient's homes and I easily see Abby becoming a therapy dog and working with me at times. Abby stays with my mom while I'm working and immediately learned that she needed to be more gentle and careful with "grandma" and my mom can't believe how good she is with her. The only problem is that occasionally Abby will try to "herd" her if she isn't moving fast enough! I could write forever about this incredible dog (family member) I've been blessed with but mostly I wanted to thank you for your wonderful website. I'll be back!
